Request deletion of your data

How to ask NETVISS to delete personal information held about you, what happens next, how long it takes, and what the law requires us to keep.

How to make a request

Email marketing@netviss.com with the subject Data deletion request. To find your records, please include:

  • the email address, phone number or account name you used;
  • which service it concerns: this website, a NETVISS product or a NETVISS mobile application, naming the application if you can;
  • whether you want everything deleted, or only part of it.

You do not need an account to ask, and there is no charge.

What happens next

We acknowledge your request and may ask one question to confirm who you are. We will not ask for more information than is needed to find your records.

We complete requests within 30 days, and sooner where the law requires it. If a request is complex and will take longer, we tell you why before the 30 days are up.

What is deleted

Personal information we hold as the controller: the enquiry, contact and marketing records described in our privacy policy, and any account held in a NETVISS mobile application.

Backups are not searchable individually. Deleted records remain in encrypted backups until those expire on their normal schedule, and are not restored into active use.

What we may have to keep

Some records must be kept even after a deletion request, and the law is what requires it: invoices and other accounting records for the statutory retention period, and the minimum needed to establish or defend a legal claim. Where we keep something, we tell you what and why.

If you were introduced to us by a distributor or reseller, they hold their own records as a separate controller, and you would need to ask them as well. We will tell you who to contact.

Data a customer holds in a NETVISS product

Where an organisation runs NETVISS and your data is inside their system, that organisation is the controller and we only process it on their behalf. We cannot delete it on our own initiative. Ask them directly; if you are not sure who to ask, write to us and we will point you to the right contact.

If you are not satisfied

Tell us, and we will look again. You can also complain to your data protection authority, such as the UAE Data Office, a supervisory authority in the European Union or the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
